Kota is a 20-year-old award winning singer/songwriter/performer, pianist/composer, and designer.

A lot of the music you hear from Kota has been composed and produced by Kota herself.
Though she loves being in the studio and behind the keys, Kota is most comfortable on stage with a mic in her hand and a rockin' band!
In January 2011, she opened up her own live music venue, Amplyfi, where she frequently performs.

Kota has recorded with many top writer/producers including Danielle Brisebois (Natasha Bedingfield, David Archuleta), Wayne Wilkins (Bedingfield, Jordin Sparks, Pink, etc), and Steve Solukowski (Selena Gomez, Lexi St. George).

She won First Place in the AMERICAN IDOL UNDERGROUND songwriting competition and was the youngest winner in all the genres. Kota was named in AMERICAN IDOL magazine as one of the "BEST EMERGING ARTISTS" for AMERICAN IDOL UNDERGROUND.

At just 16, Kota was the lead singer of an all girl rock band that was signed to a production deal.

Kota also has her own accessory line, Bubble Bands, which have been worn by models and celebrities like Kerli (Island Def Jams recording artist), Audrey Kitching (model/designer, internet celebrity), Lexi St. George (Ark Music Factory), and Ariel Moore (of The Clique Girls and NMD).
